Acustronica

Based near Perugia, in central Italy, Acustronica is a netlabel with a specific purpose: to find and to promote those musicians and bands who are making some refreshing and creative music. Acustronica is one of the few netlabels featuring music played with "real" instruments, along with some totally electronics release...simply put, we don't like genres distinctions and boundaries. We also want to stimulate collaborations between artists, hopefully building a sorta of "artists community". Our releases are distributed for free or (in some selected cases) for sale at a small fee, on our site and on iTunes and others shops. Our "paid for" release often are available for free , for a short time, before we put them on sale; so we advise you to sign up our newletter, so you won't miss our promotions. http://www.acustronica.com

Story of The Early Days is the first EP from Hoodie Woody Freaky. This is a beginning and the introduction of Hoodie Woody Freaky’s music. This EP consists of four tracks, "Introbeat", "Rain", "Senyuman" and "Prison and Love", and each song is a reflection on the simple daily life experiences that may be more meaningful if you can do metaphor on them. More specifically, "Rain" stands for the unwanted obstacles, "Senyuman" tells about...

"Contemplative and deep" NetMusic Life „Paspreture” is a kind of an inner journey based on the music I was composing and recording in the last 10 years - music that was made in my past, that led me to my future, which became my present in all senses.. I made a choice of these 8 particular songs that represent my musical paths the best way. They are not sorted chronologically, but emotionally, with a special attention to atmosphere they possess.. The opening song „Landscape of a...

"Forget The Theory" features two arrangements and five original pieces written by Kevin Higgins for his group Nature - a quartet with voice, electric guitar, electric bass and drums. The material was honed in a dozen live performances, then recorded over two days in spring 2012. The result is an album of dark grooves, mixing techno, funk and dubstep with contemporary jazz. In the foreground, ethereal vocals and frenzied guitar carry on an improvised dialogue. "Forget The...

"[...]although it’s only a three track EP, they all have this feeling of being classics about them" Me, and all my friends Schizophrenic Birth EP – as the name indeed intimates – can with confidence stand for the debut publication of Th.e n.d. It symbolizes the birth of an artistic creation, with neither boundaries nor constraints, of a creation which may only be guided into its proper environment by virtue of its inner conflict. In the three songs the artist's love is clearly...

This is my second Cd. After “Nylon and Turtle”, that was only guitar, I tried to experiment with other instruments and other musicians. In the work “silenci” I composed for trumpet, for cello, oud and voice, but always with the sound of the guitar like the principal instrument. “Silenci” reflects a mood, a declaration of intentions, in this convulsed times. The first notes the work, a Oud solo ( Origen, played by the Oud Player Yannis Papaioannou), it’s a metaphorical way to say...

"Nada es para todos" use the same procedures than my prior "orchestral albums" : piling up layers of overdubbed lines that I composed in real time as I play all the instrument with the spontaneus interaction tipically found in free jazz, without any prevous ideas about the melodies, rhythms, harmonies, styles, etc... The only exception is track 3 which is a collage of a melodica track cut in 3 parts and stack up like a fake counterpoint in the Frank Zappa's xenocronicity...

"Seven mirrors" is the first ambient album by Nunun. With Massimo Discepoli playing synths and keyboards instead of drums, and Cesare Discepoli more electronically treated than usual guitar, in these seven improvisations the duo explores many different sonic textures and moods. Haunting melodies and weird dissonances, celestial soundscapes and earthy distortions, countless melodic fragments and free improvisations, this is music for both the intellect and the soul. The album cover is...

"When I started writing the music for The Unjazz, I was attempting to create a jam session between technically advanced jazz musicians that could only exist in the hyper-realistic realms of sequencers and digital audio synthesis. After the first song was finished, I realized that it was too clean. So, I went back into the track and carefully created small misalignments in timing and rhythm to add the human factor into the music. As a result, the parts jump, move, and slide around as if...

"An absolutely enjoyable album" NetMusic Life "Now this is my first public EP. I still like to interfuse some elements of the seventies and the groove of now. Most of the tracks are brandnew, worked out of sketches since 2008, and I added some older pieces like "SlowDrive" remixed with new sounds or featuring singer and cellist Magda Glocka from Poland, who was inspired by the music and sent me her voice-tracks for "Play all Day" and "Melting Point"....

“I first experienced Cristiano's clear thinking, infused with a healthy sense of humour, by listening to him talking about electronic music in a seminar. Complex, involved matters were simplified into their key components, like one does separating movement into vectors or sounds into harmonics: a mathematic mind at work around music making. Listening to this CD's music gave me the same feeling. A feeling of probing into music itself, into the different level shapes – phrasing, timbres,...

"Interesting in a twisted way" Rockerilla "Monochrome" is an amalgamation of modern classical composition, jazzy exotica and screeching guitar feedback. However, the inspiration for the EP goes much further than that: film noir, stylized comic panels, Miro and David Lynch/Angelo Badalamenti all contributed to the frantic, alienating atmosphere of the record. In this world of darkness, the few bright spots will be greatly appreciated....

"A transposition of the soul into sound waves” NetMusic Life "Cercle" is my most spiritual project. the most introspective. In this little EP the music flows, the themes don't have any concrete structure, and maybe this gives the sensation of a visual dream, the sensation that you are floating, and you could create images, thoughts, sensations.... A 3-week long road trip to the American Southwest (Toronto, Canada to Colorado, Utah and New Mexico USA). Good thing I managed to take my old beat-up acoustic guitar - even though there was little spaced for it in our tightly packed truck. Big prairie skies, Rocky Mountain panoramas, desert vistas, ghost towns and ancient Anasazi ruins, all inspired me to pick up the guitar and attempt to translate sights into notes. Little 'roadside sketches'... My trusty little field recorder allowed me to...
